    December 2 Tymon A. Hoppe, 19, of Sparta, was sentenced to two years probation, 30 days SLAP, and ordered to continue and complete intensive outpatient counseling at Sunrise House. He was also assessed fines and costs totaling $1,850 and loss of drivers license for six months (already served). Hoppe pleaded guilty on Oct. 17 to two counts of distribution of less than one ounce of marijuana. He admitted that on April 2, 2004, he sold a small bag of marijuana to a detective assigned to the Sussex County Narcotics Task Force, and another bag of marijuana to an individual cooperating with the task force. December 5 Jackie DeGraaf, 20, of Sparta, pleaded guilty to violating probation, forgery, and possession of heroin. She had been placed on probation on Feb. 23 for burglary, and violated probation by committing new charges, failure to stay drug free, failure to participate in drug treatment and failure to attend NA/AA meetings. DeGraaf attempted to pass a forged check for S200 in Sparta on Sept. 13. She was found to be in possession of heroin in Sparta on Oct. 3. She is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 20. Andrew Rosenfeld, 21, of Hopatcong, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine, and to driving while intoxicated. Rosenfeld was arrested for driving while intoxicated by Byram Police Officer Daniel DeWald on Sept. 30, and was found to be in possession of two small bags of cocaine. He is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 20. Elizabeth Dadas, 36, of Hopatcong, pleaded guilty to prescription fraud. She admitted altering a prescription for Ativan to read 90 pills when it was originally prescribed for 60. The offense took place on July 8 in Hopatcong and was investigated by Officer Robert Haffner. She is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 20. Jaime L. Nystrand, 21, of Sussex, pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated assault. On Sept. 17, in Sussex, he attempted to cause serious bodily injury to two people by lunging at them with a knife. He was arrested shortly thereafter by the N.J. State Police. Sentencing is anticipated for Jan. 20. Henry D. Taylor, 58, of Teaneck, pleaded guilty to forgery. On Sept. 14, in Hopatcong, he forged the signature of a Hopatcong Borough health official and changed the wording on a document in an effort to get an FHA-approved loan for a home purchase for a relative. Sentencing is anticipated for Jan. 20. Ryan T. McConachy, 25, of Newton, pleaded guilty to theft. On Nov. 27, 2004, in Newton, he took cash from an envelope in his employer’s truck as he sat inside the vehicle waiting for his employer to pick up lunch. Sentencing is anticipated for Jan. 20. George J. Meyer, 52, of Blackwood, was sentenced to time served, given credit for 350 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility. He must pay restitution of $1,384.26. Meyer must pay total fines and penalties of $755 and submit a DNA sample at his expense. He pleaded guilty on Nov. 1 to three counts of theft by deception and two counts of disorderly persons theft by deception. In early August of 2004, Meyer issued several fictitious checks to various organizations in Lafayette and Branchville. Carl J. Hoopingamer, 41, of Cambridge, Ohio, was sentenced to one year probation, which will be transferred to Ohio. He was ordered to serve 19 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility and was given credit for 19 days already served. In addition, he must pay restitution in the amount of $500, pay fines and penalties totaling $155 and submit a DNA sample at his won expense. Hoopingamer pleaded guilty on Oct. 11, to receiving stolen property. He admitted to taking tools belonging to his employer in an effort to force the employer to pay him money he was owed. The tools were seen in a vehicle he was traveling in on July 19, which was stopped for motor vehicle violations on Route 15 in Sparta. Ruby A. Selders, 34, of Buffalo, Ohio was sentenced to one year probation, which will be transferred to Ohio. She was ordered to serve 17 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility and was given credit for 17 days served. Also she must perform 50 hours of community services and her driver’s license was suspended for 24 months. In addition, Selders must pay fines and penalties totaling $280 and submit a DNA sample at her own expense. Selders pleaded guilty on Sept. 5, to eluding and receiving stolen property. She and a co-defendant took tools belonging to another person, claiming they were compensation for work done. They were arrested in Sparta Township on July 19, after being pulled over for speeding on Route 15. December 6 Dana C. Genovese, 40, of Hopatcong, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault. On Dec. 8, 2003, while incarcerated in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility, she lunged at a corrections officer, knocking the officer into furniture and then to the floor. Sentencing is presently anticipated for Jan. 20.
