Courtney Dugan promoted

Newton - Courtney Dugan of Newton has been promoted to home loan solution specialist at First Hope Bank. She will assist customers at the home loan solution center at the bank’s full service location at 161 Newton-Sparta Rd. in Andover. The center provides “one-stop” shopping for all types of home loans. “In the past, a customer would have dealt with one person for a mortgage, another for a home equity loan and yet another person for refinancing,” said Donald D. Somma, senior executive vice president for retail operations/senior lender at First Hope. “Now that customer deals with one person. “There are a myriad of home equity and mortgage options out there,” said Somma. “Her knowledge of all the options will help a customer find the best home loan solution depending on individual circumstance.” Dugan, a 2005 summa cum laude graduate of Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pa., holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in religion. She joined First Hope in May 2005 as a teller, later advancing to the position of mobile business banker. She has received extensive training in underwriting guidelines for residential mortgage and home equity products.
