Defensive driving and insurance-reduction course set

Newton —Sussex County Community College will host a defensive driving workshop, offered by A-1 Peck Driving School, a leader in driver’s education. This class is the state-approved six-hour Point and Insurance Reduction Course, which will reduce your violation record by two points. Upon successful course completion, you may also be eligible for a minimum 5 percent reduction on auto insurance for three years. With over 40 year’s experience, A-1 Peck Driving School offers professionally trained and licensed instructors. There are three six-hour sessions being offered at a cost of $69 each. The first is a single-session six-hour course to be held at A-1 Peck Driving School, 136 Main Street, Succasunna on Saturday, Oct. 21. Next, there is a two-session course on Tuesday, Nov. 14 and 21, which runs from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Sussex County Community College. The final session is a six hour course being held at the A-1 Peck Driving School on Saturday Dec. 16. Fee includes a workbook and certificate. Bring a pencil or pen to class and note that an additional $10 DMV data-processing fee is collected during the first class. This course may only be taken once every five years for point removal.
