Dr. Canzoniero joins Wellness Center Pediatrics

Sparta - Wellness Center Pediatrics and Dr. Wendy Frieling announce the addition of Dr. Christian Canzoniero to the staff. Dr. Canzoniero is a board-certified pediatrician and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Canzoniero received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago. He completed his residency in pediatrics at the Wright Patterson Air Force Hospital/Children’s Medical Center of Dayton combined program. Upon completion of his residency, he served four years active duty service in the United States Air Force, stationed at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Va., where he served as chief of pediatrics. Dr. Canzoniero also possesses a keen interest in sports medicine. “I look forward to working with young athletes and to putting all of my experience to use furthering the health and well being of the children of Sussex County,” he said recently. Dr. Frieling said Dr. Canzoniero shares her basic philosophy of health through patient education and cooperation with parents. She said she is confident that Dr. Canzoniero will fit right in at Wellness Center Pediatrics. Dr. Canzoniero resides in Sparta with his wife and two young children. With the addition of Dr. Canzoniero, Wellness Center Pediatrics is now accepting new patients. To further accommodate families, they have lengthened operating hours. Hours are now 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday; and 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday.
