One hundred, thirty-four Hilltop students, teachers, staff and parents joined the National Geographic Kids and First Lady Michelle Obama initiative to break the record for the most people doing jumping jacks in a 24-hour period. In order for the record to be broken more that 20,000 people were needed to do jumping jacks for one minute. The jumping needed to take place between 3 p.m. October 11 and 3 p.m. October 12. It will take Guinness a few months to tally the results to determine if the record was broken. Hilltop students were eager to get jumping on Wednesday and are hoping their school becomes part of jumping jack history. For more information about Hilltop Country Day, visit www.hilltopcds.org.
