Fall program registration begins at YMCA

    Hardyston — Registration for Fall II Programs at the Sussex County YMCA will begin for program members on Oct. 30. Members must register for these programs in person at the YMCA, located at 15 Wits End Road in Hardyston. The Fall II Program Session, which begins Nov. 6 and runs through Jan. 7, will be offering a wide variety of exciting programs and classes including: Aquatic Programs - Open to all ages and skill levels. Children as young as 3 months old are welcome to enroll in one of the many Aquatic Youth Classes. These classes are specially designed to help children learn the fundamentals of swimming by progressively building upon the skills learned at each previous level. Adults and seniors may choose from two adult swim instruction classes for beginners or more advanced swimmers. They also have several aquatic fitness programs to choose from which provide a full body workout with little stress on joints, making them ideal for individuals with arthritis. Adult Programs - For adults looking to get in shape, the YMCA offers a wide variety of fitness programs such as cardio, step, Pilates, yoga, karate, aikido and group cycling. Youth Programs - A full array of sports programs and clinics is available, as well as many Youth Specialty Programs for children as young as 3 years-old, which include soccer, gymnastics, karate, cheerleading and performing arts. Teen Programs - Teen Programs are among the most popular programs, including teen aerobics, Pilates, training workshops, cycling and kickboxing, dodgeball and American Red Cross Babysitting Certification.
