Newton - Have you ever wanted to design your own Web site? Wanted to become an Adobe Photoshop specialist in just 10 weeks? Or maybe you are just looking for a fun way to spend some or your Saturday. Corporate Community Education is offering four Web design classes. Web Design with Dreamweaver is an introductory course that teaches students the foundations of Web design, as well as basic and intermediate Dreamweaver tools. These tools include: cascading style sheets, hyper links, lists, and basic tables and frames. Advanced Web Design with Dreamweaver picks up where the first class left off with the introduction of advanced HTML code including forms, form validation and submittal, cascading style sheet layout, style sheets, behaviors, adding scripts and more. Introduction to Macromedia Fireworks and Introduction to Macromedia Flash will help you add graphics or interactive animation to your Web site. Each course is priced separately, but if you register for all four, you will save 10 percent off each course. Adobe Photoshop is the industry leading software for digital imaging and the college is offering three classes that upon completion will earn you an Adobe Photoshop Specialist Certification. The introductory course will teach you how to alter, edit and improve the quality of photographic images. Learn to remove red-eye and get rid of dust flecks, wrinkles, blemishes, or any other undesirable elements of your photograph. You will also learn: selection tools and techniques, how to work with pixels, and understand and work with color elements. Intermediate Adobe Photoshop will move beyond the basics to take an in-depth look at Photoshop. Layering basics are explored as well as masks, and creating artistic effects with your photographic images. You will also learn the basic tools of image retouching. Advanced Adobe PhotoShop focuses on the more advanced aspects of Photoshop. Topics covered include: image ready, actions, advanced color techniques, and working with filters. SCCC’s Corporate and Community Education offers Saturday classes.
