Francis X. Sullivan named vice president of PSEG Fossil
Newark - Francis X. Sullivan was recently named vice president - fossil operations of PSEG Fossil. In this new role he is responsible for the operation of PSEG’s 11,000 megawatt fossil fueled fleet. These accountabilities include daily operations as well as developing long-term plans to protect asset value. The fossil fleet is comprised of plants that are diverse in fuel type, technology and age. The fleet operates in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut. Previously, Sullivan was director - asset operations for PSEG Power. He joined PSEG in 1997 as an engineering director in the PSEG Nuclear operations division. Prior to joining PSEG, he spent nineteen years in both nuclear and fossil plant operations, and has worked in various engineering organizations in addition to filling operations and outage management positions. Sullivan has a reactor operator certification and has been qualified as a nuclear shift technical advisor, and was also a licensed state engineer. He received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at Union College, and received his Master of Business Administration degree from Drexel University.
