Free seminar about careers in healthcare

    NEWTON — A free seminar about careers in Healthcare will be offered to teens and adults on Thursday, Sept. 22 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Project Self-Sufficiency. Dr. Michelle O’Shea and Nurse Practitioner Sharon St. Angelo will be joined by other medical professionals in a discussion of their background, education and the tasks that accompany their professions. Questions from the audience will be welcome. “Becoming You: Healthcare Careers” will focus on positions like physician, nurse, certified nursing assistant, phlebotomist, therapist, and others. The seminar is free and open to teens and adults, but registration is required. “Teens and young adults who are looking at future careers or thinking about post-secondary training and education, as well as adults who may be weighing their options for a career change, will benefit from the 'Becoming You’ series,” notes Deborah Berry-Toon, Project Self-Sufficiency’s Executive Director. “We are particularly grateful to the professionals in the area who have taken time out of their busy schedules to offer hope, inspiration and direction to those in attendance.” To register for “Becoming You: Healthcare Careers,” call Project Self-Sufficiency at 973-940-3500.
