sparta - Patricia Polovina’s fourth grade class at Helen Morgan School worked diligently in the library with Diane Braybrook, media specialist, on a creative weather project as part of the students’ weather unit study. The class was divided into five groups, each focusing on the study of one specific type of strong weather, such as hurricanes, floods and blizzards. The projects culminated in the construction of huge posters full of facts and information, color, and illustrations related to each storm. The study provided students with information for a better understanding of the many weather-related news stories from around the world.
