Sparta —Kindergarten students at Hilltop Country Day School had a wonderful morning of discovery as they learned about the exciting and interesting world of dinosaurs and paleontology. Paleontologists Mike and Roberta Straka visited Hilltop Country Day School as part of the science curriculum. The visit enabled the students to see the skull of a real 8- foot triceratops named “Mr. Nixon.” They also handled real dinosaur fossils and saw photographs of the paleontologists working on their most recent “dig” during the summer in North and South Dakota. This presentation allowed the students to view and handle objects that they have been studying. To learn more about Hilltop, visit www.hilltopcds.org or call the school at 973-729-5485.
