The Sussex County Chapter of the American Red Cross took part in a street naming ceremony honoring the late Lance Corporal Donald Steven Brown, who was fatally wounded serving his country in Iraq. To honor his memory, the town of Roxbury, where LCpl Brown attended high school, renamed Eyland Ave, a street close to where Brown lived as a child, to LCpl Don Brown Ave. Sussex County Red Cross volunteers were on scene for this event, where they handed out water, gave support to the large crowd, and honored this fallen hero’s memory. Representing Sussex County were Jim Rich, Sue Curcione, Jackie Cascio, Olga Maali, Fred Barch, Margaret McGinley, Mark Nynka, Frank Clain, and Sherry Clain.
