In order to get the different perspective of the homes around Lake Mohawk presented on the previous story, photographer Amy Cilli went on a solo trip around the lake on a kayak. Her water-level approach allowed her to record these homes from a unique angle, not available to everyone. The background photo, taken by reporter/photographer Stacey Mason, is part of a series of aerial shots of local sites captured with the help of local pilot Laurie Pool.
