Howell appointed commercial lines account manager

Newton — The Mitchell Insurance Agency of Newton a full-service independent agency offering personal, commercial and special package insurance, has named industry veteran Suzanne Howell to the position of commercial lines account manager. In this role, Howell will oversee the expansion and implementation of policies for businesses, many of whom have been longstanding Mitchell Agency clients. Commercial lines insurance is a subset of property and casualty insurance, which cover the risk of loss or damage to things, or liability, that may arise from an accident or negligence. Commercial lines insurance covers businesses, rather than property belonging to an individual. Ms. Howell brings more than two decades of insurance policy management to The Mitchell Agency. Most recently, she served as commercial lines account manager for Denville-based Clark & Morrison Insurance. Howell also has worked for several other notable insurance firms in New Jersey, Pittsburgh, and Illinois. She also holds a Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation.
