Jazz brunch a success

Sparta — Over 100 people turned out recently for the Mother’s Day Jazz Brunch at the Skyview Golf Club. Richard Brownstein of The Financial Health Center was the host. At the brunch he held a silent auction and raised $250. He personally matched the dollars raised and donated a total of $500 to Pass It Along. Brownstein is a local celebrity known for his TV show “Road to Riches.” Season two will air this coming fall on Thursday nights from 7:30 to 8 p.m. and then again at 8 to 8:30 p.m. on channel 10. The managing director of The Financial Health Center, Brownstein has recently opened a satellite office in Sparta. He is a specialist in retirement income planning and teaches financial planning courses for both Drew University and the Sparta Recreation Department. The next Sparta course will begin June 2. The Financial Health Center is located at 1 Main St., Suite 7, in Sparta.
