Knitting for a cause

SPARTA — For the past two years Knit and Crochet for a Cause has been collecting donations of yarn and creating hats and scarves to be distributed to members of Sussex County who are in need through "Holiday around the County". Knit and Crochet for a Cause also makes and distributes handmade baby blankets to Bundles of Joy during Christmas to a Newark Hospital, care of Pastor Tilly Giresi. Although a few adults participate in the program, it is the teen involvement which has produced 500 items to date. The program will begin again Wednesday, Oct. 12 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Presbyterian Church, and will continue to meet weekly throughout the season. All are welcome.
