SPARTA - Dina M. Mikulka, Esq. of the law firm, Courter, Kobert & Cohen, has recently been named the moderator/speaker of the upcoming New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE) seminar on Family Law and DYFS. The NJICLE seminar, “The Family Law/DYFS Overlap: What Every Family Lawyer Needs to Know” will take place on Thursday, Sept. 22 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Edison from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. As moderator/speaker of the Sept. 22 NJICLE event, Mikulka will have input in the overall presentation, written materials, and what individual presenters will be discussing. The goal of the seminar is to provide an interactive presentation with all the attorneys in attendance. “This event is an intensive seminar for attorneys with general and family law practices who wish to gain some basic knowledge of DYFS and how it can impact their family law cases, “ said Mikulka. “DYFS proceedings are conducted in closed hearings, which often times creates an air of mystery about the process. This seminar is designed to answer some of the commonly asked questions that practitioners who would not routinely encounter DYFS will have. It is designed to shed some light on what is perceived by most attorneys as a very mysterious process.” To register to attend the event, please visit www.njicle.com. At Courter, Kobert & Cohen, Mikulka focuses on family law matters including divorce, child custody, domestic violence, grandparent visitation, post judgment family court litigation and DYFS matters. She specializes in complicated family court litigation, which often involves issues overlapping other areas of the law.
