SPARTA — Deck designer and builder, DeckRemodelers.com will send a group to the National deck competition held in Chicago, IL this month. The competition is sponsored by N.A.D.R.A. the North American Deck and Railing Association. The event showcases the finest examples of deck design, craftsmanship and construction from around the United States. The completion will be held in conjunction with the annual DeckExpo and Remodeling conference held this year from Oct. 12 through 15. DeckRemodelers.com will attend in support of their numerous locally built entries. DeckRemodelers.com has completed projects in Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Somerset, Morris and Sussex Counties. They will compete in categories that determine the best design and craftsmanship on a national level. The entries are constructed in natural hardwoods as well as maintenance free synthetic materials from Timbertech, Trex or Azek. Some feature a unique element, for example, a full service lighted outdoor kitchen that is also wired for sound, or a custom engineered rail system designed to provide a secure but unobstructed view. Winners will be selected in eight categories. The announcement will be made on today. The awards ceremony “A Night at The Museum” will take place at The Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.
