Culver City, Calif. A Sparta High Class of 1995 member, writing under the pseudonym Amanda Brice, is featured in a charity anthology, the net proceeds of which are set to go directly to a battered woman’s shelter, in Florida. The anthology, “Dreams and Desires: A Collection of Romance and Erotic Tales” published by Freya’s Bower, based in Culver City, Calif., is scheduled for a Feb. 1 release. A compilation of nineteen stories, all of the stories, editing, and cover art were donated to make this anthology possible. The anthology will be released in electronic, paperback and hard cover editions. Copies are available for pre-sale at Freya’s Bower, Barnes and Noble and Borders. The authors hail from across the United States and Canada, proving that this issue spans borders. “This is about helping women, and their children, escape a potentially life-threatening situation and educating the public about signs of an abuser,” stated Marci Baun, editor-in-chief of Freya’s Bower. “Ninety-five percent of the victims of domestic abuse are women. Almost everyone knows someone who has been abused. If we can help one person break the cycle through this charity anthology, we are moving in the right direction.” The authors of this anthology are: Jenna Bayley-Burke, Faith Bicknell-Brown, Amanda Brice, Sela Carsen, Rachelle Chase, Gemma Halliday, Candace Havens, Zinnia Hope, Jackie Kessler, Susan Lyons, Richelle Mead, Debbie Mumford, Rhonda Stapleton, Bebe Thomas, Emily Veinglory, Sasha White, Lois Winston, Shaunna Wolf and Kit Wylde.
