Attorney Janet Lucas joins Laddey, Clark & Ryan, LLP

— The Sparta law firm of Laddey, Clark & Ryan, LLP is pleased to announce that Janet Lucas, Esq. has joined the firm as Of Counsel concentrating on education law and victims’ rights and representation.
“I am thrilled to work with the wonderful group of attorneys at Laddey, Clark & Ryan,” Lucas said. “I am looking forward to concentrating my practice on victims and their rights.”
With 35 years of litigation experience, Lucas has represented employees and employers in various disputes, garnering favorable outcomes for her client. She became experienced in issues such as handbook development and use, grievance process, investigations in the workplace, and related matters.
Prior to joining LCR, Lucas had the privilege of representing schools since 2002. In her capacity representing schools, she has addressed and sometimes litigated teacher grievances, special education matters, bid issues, HIB investigations, and other current education law concerns.
Lucas also provided pro bono representation to victims of abuse or negligence, both adults and children. She served the Board of Trustees of North Jersey Legal services for five years. She is now actively advocating on behalf of targets of abuse, crimes, neglect, and harassment to protect them to the extent allowed by law.

Lucas received her J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowdoin College. She is admitted to practice in New Jersey, US District/Third Circuit.
