Auditions for Christmas play

SPARTA — Salt and Light Theater of The First Presbyterian Church of Sparta, 32 Main Street, announces auditions for "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" on Sunday, October 1st at 1:00. All ages are invited to audition for the cast of 4 men, 6 women, 8 boys and 9 girls, plus extras. Performance dates are December 1, 2, 3.
In this hilarious Christmas classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids--probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won't believe the mayhem - and the fun - when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas story head on.
This delightful comedy is adapted from the best-selling book by Barbara Robinson, and has become a holiday staple for groups across the United States. Features plenty of great roles for children and adults, a few favorite Christmas Carols, and a lot of laughs!
