BUSINESS. Sparta United Methodist Church's bag sale runs now through Saturday, Aug. 24 at The Thrift Shop, 71 Sparta Ave. in Sparta. Most items are $5. Proceeds support local, regional, and national charities. Hours are Wednesday - Saturday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., and Thursday and Friday at 1-4 p.m.
