Blessing of the pets

SPARTA — Our Lady of the Lake RC Church at 294 S. Sparta Ave. will hold a Blessing of the Pets on Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 4 p.m.
The blessing will take place in front of the church. Treats for the animals will be available.
October 4 is the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, who is considered the patron saint of animals.
The ceremony will take place rain or shine.
