Builders group appoints president

— Sparta attorney Todd M. Hooker has been appointed president of the Business Builders Chapter of the Business Network International (BNI), a business networking group that meets weekly in Hampton. The mission of BNI is to help members increase their business through a structured, positive and professional program that enables members to develop long term, meaningful relationships with other like-minded business professionals. With over 200,000 members in 7,500 chapters worldwide, BNI is the world’s leading business referral organization.

The BNI Business Builders Chapter has 30 members from all over Sussex County and includes various professions ranging from accounting, finance, insurance and legal, to contractors, electricians, marketing and real estate, among others. The members meet every Wednesday morning from 7:00 am to 8:30 am at the Hampton Diner on Route 206. Since its inception more than 14 years ago, the Business Builders Chapter has closed more than $4 million in business through network referrals. Mr. Hooker has been a member of BNI Business Builders for two years. He is a partner with the Sparta-based law firm of Askin & Hooker, LLC located at 200 Woodport Road. Todd has been licensed to practice law for nineteen years and he represents individuals, entrepreneurs and small businesses throughout Sussex County. Todd served in the 82nd Airborne Division and is a veteran of the first Gulf War. He has also served on the Frankford Township Open Space Committee, is active in the Branchville American Legion, and was recently nominated to serve as the Sergeant at Arms of the Branchville Businessmen’s Club.
