SPARTA — The Sparta Camera Club has mounted an exhibit of the photographic works of area photographers annually for the past thirty three years.
A panel of three judges, Diane Dugan, Paul Michael Kane and Joe Guerriero selected winners in each category. One photo, from the category winners, is recognized as the best in the exhibit.
This years winner is an extraordinary self portrait entitled Forbidden Fruit submitted by Ammara Nawaz Khan. Kahn describes the work "as a metaphor, the phrase typically refers to any indulgence or pleasure that is considered illegal or immoral.”
This competition saw one photographer, Diane Brunovksky, take first place in four categories, monochrome, general, fauna, and photo art. A unique achievement by an individual photographer.
This year’s event will differ from our past exhibits by offering two times to view the exhibit. The show and sale will provide the public with two times to view and purchase the photographic works, Saturday November 18 from 6:00-8:00 pm. and Sunday November 19 from 1:00-4:00pm.
The event is free and the public is invited to attend and support the our local photographers.
The show takes place at the Sparta Ambulance Building, 14 Sparta Ave. Sparta NJ. email: info@spartacameraclub.org Webpage: <URL destination="http://spartacameraclub.org ">spartacameraclub.org
