The area surrounding Columbus Circle in NYC has been evacuated tonight due to a bomb threat. The NYPD has closed the area to pedestrian traffic and the CNN offices tonight have been evacuated after police told CNN the caller specifically referred to five bombs in the newsroom. Police said the call came in shortly after 10 p.m. Dec. 6, 2018, and within 15 minutes later, the building was evacuated. The call, which reportedly came from the southern United States, is expected to be a hoax, CNN anchors say. CNN is now reporting the incident live, from the street, via Skype and i-phone.
