Family resource center offers free workshops

    — NORWESCAP Child & Family Resource Services (CFRS) is offering several free workshop during the month of November.
    One workshop covers NJ Health & Safety requirements and best practices for staff working at Licensed Child Care Centers and Registered Family Child Care providers. Parents and interested members of the public are always welcome to attend.
    This two-session, 6 hour workshop will be held at the CFRS office on 186 Halsey Road, Suite 1, in Newton on Monday, November 20th & Tuesday, November 21st from 9am to Noon each day.
    A second free workshop is offered regarding Child Growth & Development principles within the five learning domains. Although this training is primarily for staff working in Licensed Child Care Centers and as Registered Family Child Care providers, parents and interested members of the public are always welcome to attend. Forming strategies supporting children’s growth within regulated care is the objective,
    This 2 hour workshop will be held at the CFRS office on 186 Halsey Road, Suite 1, Newton on Tuesday, November 21st from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
    A third free workshop covers Child Abuse and Neglect. Participants will review the types of abuse and neglect and discuss ways to recognize the signs and implement policies to meet the mandated reporting requirements.
    This 2 hour workshop will be held at the CFRS office on 186 Halsey Road, Suite 1, in Newton on Monday, November 20th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
