— The Sparta Ecumenical Food Pantry recently honored Burke's Wine and Liquor for their support over three years of the Sparta Ecumenical Food Pantry Wine Pairing Dinner.

On Nov. 5, representatives of the Sparta Ecumenical Food Pantry presented a plaque to Randy Burke and Mark Lind, of Burke’s Wine and Liquor. The plaque is in appreciation for the support and key role they played over the past three years in the annual Sparta Ecumenical Food Pantry Wine Pairing Dinner.

The event is supported by seven churches of the Sparta Ecumenical Council, by many businesses in Sparta and Sussex County, and by the Kiwanis Club of Sparta.

It has grown in popularity each year and has raised close to $20,000 to support the food mission of the pantry.

The Sparta Ecumenical Council Food Pantry is located at the First Presbyterian Church of Sparta, 32 Main St., Sparta. Food and monetary donations are accepted.
