Fun: clean and sweet

SPARTA- Kids, candy and stand-up comedy-a new twist maybe, but sounds like a perfect combination taking place at Nutty Over Sweets on Sunday, Oct.1 at 2pm.
Stand-up comedians Paul Bennet and Rashad Bashier will perform at the Lake Mohawk candy shop. Tickets are $20 a person. Parents are welcome, but space is limited.
“I think it's really cool to have something for kids. It’s going to be family friendly,” said Sparta resident and professional comeidienne Missy Allan who organized the event with Victor D’Arrigo of The Looney Bin Comedy Club.
Both performers are known for entertaining the younger set In comedic circles all across the United States.
Paul Bennet has a stand-up show for kids called “Guess What.” Rashad Bashier co-founded and co-produced "Betta Not Bring Your Kids” in 2014 and has also performed at the Apollo Theatre.
Allan believes that introducing comedy to kids especially at a candy store is a special treat: “It’s really a cute combination.Nutty Over Sweet is a great candy shop and. A lot of kids are into arts-this is a totally different form of art.”
