Sussex — Stillwater Girl Scout Troop 9-5678 will cook and serve dinner to 25-30 veterans and their families on Thursday, February 1, 2018. On the menu is Italian night, with pasta, and all kinds of great, homemade food for the vets and their families. Dinner will be served at the Sparta Middle School on Rt. 517 in Sparta at 6:30 pm.“This will be a great learning experience for the scouts. They will get to meet the vets and the families, break bread with them and do a little pay back thanking them for the service they provided to our country”, said Jennifer Domaracki, troop co-leader. “The girls of troop 9-5678 are working on their Bronze award and are very excited about this opportunity to serve the veterans and their families”, said co-leader Lydia Bessler. These families are part of a program “Military Families Night Out, run by Patrice Reilly and the Center for Prevention in Newton.
