Help 'cram the cruiser' this weekend

SPARTA — Sparta Police Department will be assisting the Sussex County Chiefs Association’s Cram the Cruiser this Saturday, March 31, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sparta Stop & Shop. Police agencies throughout the county have participated over the last couple of weeks collecting food and money in front of a variety of supermarkets in Sussex County to help replenish the Sussex County Food Bank. Last year’s total effort exceeded 40 thousand lbs. of food being donated, as well as a significant monetary donation. The Sparta police thank the community and all of the contributors that have helped with this important cause over the last several years, especially the Stop & Shop, the Mohawk House and Nielsen's Automall.
