Hilltop parents, local business combine to honor faculty

Sparta — The Hilltop Parents Association (HPA) recently joined forces with a local Sparta boutique to throw a party to remember for all 31 Hilltop faculty and staff members.
It’s a tradition for the HPA to host an annual special faculty luncheon to show their appreciation of the the Hilltop teachers and staff members. This year, the HPA wanted to go above and beyond, so they joined forces with The Shabby Chick’s Vintage Redesigned Furniture boutique to treat them to an authentic French Country café themed experience.
“The luncheon transported the teachers and staff to a French Country style café,” said HPA co-chair Jeannene Clifford, who helped coordinate the event. “It was great to see the excitement the teachers and staff displayed upon entering the café.”
With the help of The Shabby Chick, the HPA was able to transform the school’s gymnasium through the use of the boutique’s various decorative items such as tiered tables, urns, frames and easels. Additionally, the Hilltop parents stepped up to generously provide an array of homemade and gourmet appetizers, entrees, beverages and desserts.
Deemed a great success, Clifford said the luncheon was one of several opportunities the HPA enjoys organizing to show gratitude for the Hilltop teachers and staff.
“I hope the faculty and staff felt how deeply the parents appreciate the hard work they do each and every day,” she said.
Hilltop prides itself in attracting and retaining top-notch faculty and staff members to ensure an advanced and comprehensive education for each individual student.
