Harry Neinstedt of Rockaway was the only golfer to make a hole-in-one during the 15th annual United Way Chili Open Golf Classic on January 27 at the Sussex County Fairgrounds. Neinstedt was among 100 golfers who took part in the one-of-a-kind, family-friendly golf event that combines a spirited 18-hole golf outing and chili sampling fest with the serious work of raising money to support Sussex County families struggling to make ends meet. More than $18,500 was raised to help ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) area residents who, despite working and paying taxes, are struggling to afford the basic necessities.
