Irish dance school leaps into summer

— An Clar School of Irish Dance showcased their dancers on May 20, at the annual dinner dance. The dinner dance is an opportunity for the dancers to share with their families and friends, not only how they have progressed over the year but also how much they enjoy Irish dance.
Tiny Tots to championship dancers performed; the tiny tots showing what they do in their lesson, and grades and championship dancers sharing both traditional and contemporary Irish dance choreography. The dinner dance is also a fundraiser to help support those dancers traveling to their regional, national and international championships. It was a great evening of raffles, dinner, dancing, friendship and the celebration of the Irish culture.
However, the Irish dance season does not end with the dinner dance. The competitions continue into the summer and so do dance classes, with regular classes supplemented by intensive workshops to learn new material and choreography.
An Clar is also holding two special sessions in August for those who would like to try Irish dance: Tiny Tots (ages 3-5) and Intro to Irish Dance (ages 6 & up). Contact, Teacher & owner, Lexa Hickey TCRG to learn more about An Clar and our summer programs.
