Judge Weber's memory honored with freeholder proclamation

NEWTON — Judge Frederick Weber was remembered fondly by the Sussex County Board of Chosen Freeholders at their recent monthly meeting.
Freeholder Carl Lazzaro delivered the proclamation recalling what the Superior Court judge meant to the people of Sussex County. Weber passed away in May at age 94.
The proclamation talked about the amazing work the Judge did while on the bench as well as his many contributions to his country, state and county. It also mentioned his extreme dedication to his adoring family.
Said Judge Weber's daughter, Heidi Weber, “My father loved Sussex County. To see the outpouring of love from this community has meant so much to my family. The Board of Chosen Freeholders' decision to honor him with this Proclamation was truly a fitting tribute to both his life and legacy. Freeholder Carl Lazzaro's stories about my Dad, which preceded his reading of the Proclamation, were heartfelt and touching. The way in which he delivered the Proclamation was representative of the impact that Daddy had on everyone. The loss of our father has been felt by everyone who ever was lucky enough to have met him. It was such an honor to have his life recognized by the Freeholder Board"
