Three members of the Kittatinny Choir will perform with the 2021 National Association for Music Education All-Eastern Honors Mixed Choir.

More than 1,150 applications were received, but only 719 students were chosen from 11 Eastern states. Each student is placed in one of the following categories:

● Orchestra (165)

● Symphonic Band (146)

● Mixed Chorus (270)

● Treble Chorus (120)

● Jazz Ensemble (18)

The student-musicians will be participating in a “Virtual Weekend” experience from March 4 to 6 that will include keynote speakers, master classes with professional musicians, rehearsals with their conductors, as well as opportunities to learn and network with colleges and universities of various types and participate in mock auditions.

Each student will individually record their performance from home led by a virtual performance of their conductor. The recordings will be edited together to produce a virtual ensemble for the concert, which will premiere on April 23 at 8:30 p.m. during the designated concert hour at the 57th NAfME Eastern Division Virtual In-Service Conference.
