The House Committee of Lake Mohawk will sponsor the tenth tour of homes in the Reservation and will feature five charming houses, some old, some new, built in the lake style.
The Lake Mohawk Golf Club on West Shore Trail will be an added bonus. There will also be retail vendors from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The tour is slated for Saturday, Sept. 22 from 10 until 4. An optional luncheon, the last of the season, will be served on the Boardwalk from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Open to everyone, the luncheon will be $15, but reservations must be made by calling the club office at 973-729-6156.
Tickets for the tour are $25 and may be combined with the luncheon for $35.
The tickets may be purchased at the club office and at Photographs Cameras and Video (41-B Theatre Center) during normal business hours, beginning Tuesday, Sept. 4.
If there should be any tickets not pre-sold, they will be available on the Boardwalk the morning of the tour from 10 to 11 a.m.
No children under 12 are allowed and no photography is allowed. The tour will be held rain or shine with all proceeds used to purchase needed items for the club.
The purpose of the tour by the House Committee is not only to showcase some of the most charming houses on the Lake but also to promote the use of lake style or fanciful architecture.
