Lancellotti named Realtor of the Year

SPARTA — Gina Lancellotti, a sales associate with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Sparta, was recently honored by the Sussex County Association of Realtors (SCAR) as its 2012 Realtor of the Year.

According to SCAR, Lancellotti’s commitment to the Realtor Code of Ethics, education and community service were all key factors in her selection for the award.

“Lancellotti treats clients with “honesty, respect and fairness and provides comprehensive, detail-oriented service. She respects and, in return, is respected by her colleagues in our real estate community,” said SCAR.

As chairperson of SCAR’s 2012 Education Committee, Lancellotti interviewed speakers who could address pressing topics in the industry and helped organize training to meet the New Jersey Real Estate Commission’s new mandatory continuing education requirements.

Among Lancellotti’s personal continuing education accomplishments are earning the Accredited Buyer Representative, Broker Price Opinion Resource and Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource designations from the National Association of Realtors.

Very active in her community, Lancellotti has collected and distributed “Letters to Soldiers” every year since 2005.

She chaired six committees for the Hardyston Elementary School PTA over the course of six years and served as second vice president for two years.

Lancellotti also served on the High School Project Graduation Committee for three years. She taught religious education instruction for nearly 20 years, and worked locally with the Boy Scouts of America for six years.

Lancellotti collects food for local food pantries and helps prepare and serve meals, as needed, at a local soup kitchen.

She also assists with organizing fundraisers at St. John Vianney Church.
