Le Ciel celebrates its first year

SPARTA — Le Ciel Nail and Spa opened its doors on Woodport Road about a year ago. Owners Jennifer Chang and Suki “Susan” Kim are not newcomers to Sparta or the nail business.
Together they have a combined experience of more than 30 years in the nail salon industry. Chang owned a salon in Wayne for 15 years before opening her first Sparta salon, La Belle, with Kim about 10 years ago.
La Belle was located across from the original Stop and Shop on Sparta Ave. The owners closed that location two years ago.
Drawn to Sparta for its beauty and the people, Chang and Kim are happy to be back.
“We took a year off to regroup and find a new location. This is a much bigger space with a brand new interior and equipment,” said Kim.
Le Ciel differentiates itself from other nail salons by focusing on cleanliness and safe nail techniques.
“We offer effective sterilization with all tools sterilized and disposable and individual liners for pedicure chairs,” said Chang.
A variety of nail services, waxing, massage and facials are available at Le Ciel. Each service can be customized to meet the client’s needs. With six kinds of pedicures on the menu, Le Ciel has something for everyone.
And the real standout at Le Ciel is many gel polishes and nail designs.
“We have a large selection of gel polishes. We are able to be creative and artistic with nail design which is quite popular and in demand these days,” said Chang.
Also gaining popularity at Le Ciel are eyelash extensions.
“We love the clients because they are very kind, and it’s a beautiful town,” said Kim. "When people come for the first time, they love it.”
“We have a good reputation on Facebook and many followers on Instagram too,” added Chang.
They named their business Le Ciel, because it means "the sky" in French.
“We want to invite people to a relaxing environment making them feel like they are in heaven,” said Kim.
