Legal firm hosts wage and hour seminar

— Ursula Leo, Esq. and Michael Darbee, Esq. of Laddey, Clark & Ryan, LLP will be hosting a Wage and Hour Seminar to discuss employee pay on October 24, 2017 from 8:30-11:30 am at Perona Farms in Andover.
This seminar will review state and federal wage and hour laws and provide advice and proactive steps that can be taken by human resource professionals. It will cover paying employees, including exempt and non- exempt classifications; calculating hours worked; reviewing the importance of policies regarding travel time, preparation for work, and work off the clock; minimum wage requirements and exemptions; wage and hour legislative and case law updates; determining overtime compensation and exemptions; and employer obligations regarding deductions from pay.
Ursula focuses her practice on Employment and Labor, Municipal and Land Use Law. She advises clients in all aspects of employment and labor law, including employment contracts, compensation agreements, non-competition and non-disclosure agreements and severance agreements. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of New Mexico and her law degree from Syracuse University College of Law, cum laude. She is a frequent lecturer on Employment and Labor Law topics.
Michael focuses on Employment and Labor Law, as well as Commercial Law and Litigation. He earned his J.D. at Widener University School of Law and was a Board member on the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law. Michael received his B.A degree in English from The College of New Jersey.
