Local students accepted into NYC Summer Ballet Intensive programs

SPARTA — The Centre for Dance Artistry would like to congratulate two of their students for being accepted into New York City's prestigious Summer Ballet Intensive programs. Hundreds of dancers audition to participate in these programs, with only a few being accepted.
Brianna Burns has auditioned and been accepted into New Jersey School of Ballet’s summer intensive program. Brianna will be training with New Jersey Ballet five days a week this summer, studying ballet, pointe, and partnering.
Brianna has been dancing with the Centre for Dance Artistry since its very first year. She has taken advantage of all of the classes available to her and has quickly grown into a talented, dedicated, and humble young artist.
Brianna’s love for dance is demonstrated each day through her commitment and perfectionism in every class she takes.
Nancy Nester has auditioned and been accepted into New York City’s Joffrey Ballet School summer intensive program as well as the school’s Broadway program. She will be attending the ballet intensive, studying five days a week for several hours per day.
Nancy will be studying ballet and pointe, along with other genres, including jazz and modern dance.
Nancy began her ballet training with the Centre for Dance Artistry. In three short years, she has developed the strength and technique to be compared to dancers who have trained for many more years.
Nancy is a highly motivated and enthusiastic student who also student-teaches at CDA and is an exceptional example to younger students.
The Centre for Dance Artistry, located at 191 Woodport Road in Sparta, offers classes for ages 2 1/2-high school in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, pointe, lyrical, tumble, and a full Tiny Dancer program.
