HAMPTOWN TOWNSHIP — On Friday, March 18, fourth-grade students at the Marian E. McKeown School in Hampton Township put the final toppings on their pizza fractions projects.
Students were required to create a pizza that they could draw or assemble using items of their choice. Like a typical pizza, the project was divided into equal slices and students included a key to represent each topping on their pizza as a fraction. They also included equivalent fractions and pizza fraction-related word problems.
Sal Lombardo of Dominick's Pizza in Newton helped the students celebrate by donating his time and the ingredients to assist the students in making their very own, edible, personal pizzas.
