| 02 Jan 2018 | 01:05

— The emergency services organizations of Andover Borough, Andover Township, and Byram Township Fire and Police Departments would like to welcome students ages 14 - 20 to attend the first meeting of their new Exploring program. This is an exciting opportunity for Sussex County residents ages 14 – 20 and surrounding communities. The meeting is a chance for the student’s parents to learn about the upcoming emergency services (police, fire, and EMS) Exploring program. As previously announced, the Exploring program gives young adults an opportunity to “explore” a possible career in law enforcement, fire service or the emergency medical and health fields by working and training with members of the various departments. The program emphasizes academics, character development and self-discipline as well as encouragement to give back to the community.
Please join us at our first meeting, Monday, January 8 at 7:00 p.m. Byram Township Fire Department located at 225 US Highway 206. Andover, NJ 07821). The meeting is a terrific opportunity for anyone wishing to join or learn more about the program. Those interested should attend with a parent or guardian. Those attending should RSVP by January 7 at tinyurl.com/ABEMS231.
