“Name the Lion” competition is on at Discount Tire Centers

BYRAM - Angelo Inglima loves lions. So much so, that he has a majestic statue of a lion outside of his business, Discount Tire Centers, in Byram. Now, Inglima is holding a competition via his businesses' facebook page for people to name that lion. He also has a stuffed lion that people will be able to take on various trips and then return to the store.
“It will be a fun competition to name the lion and then see what far away places the stuffed lion will visit,” Inglima said.
Inglima purchased the his Discount Tire Centers franchise in 2011. Since then, he's built the business into something very unique. This is not a “typical” tire center.
Rather than a run-of-the-mill waiting area, enter his store and it's filled with welcoming pieces of art and a cozy atmosphere in which to wait for services to be done including recliners, a couch, a big screen TV and even a fireplace. .
Want coffee, tea or a snack? Inglima himself or his Administrator, Kerriy Proctor, will get it for you.
“We want our customers' experience here to be as comfortable as possible,” Inglima said. “We offer very good prices and an atmosphere that's really second to none when it comes to waiting for your tires.”
Customers come from all over to the Byram store. Aside from those in the Sussex County area, Discount Tire Centers has customers who come in from Morris County and Pennsylvania for their services.
“It's all about building a strong relationship with your customers and providing quality service,” Inglima said.
He added, “Here in Sussex and Morris counties, we experience all types of driving conditions. It is important to have tires that will keep you and your family safe in the snow, rain and heat. We understand this and are ready to help you meet the challenge”
Discount Tire Centers offers many products and services to keep vehicles maintained and looking good, and the business is a certified dealer of the top tire brands including: Michelin, Continental, Goodyear, Nexen, and others.
Inglima said, “We have a large selection of wheels to enhance the look of your vehicle, and we also carry a variety of car, truck, and SUV accessories, ranging from Goodyear wipers and WeatherTech floor mats to bed covers and lift kits.”
Services include:auto and marine batteries, windshields, rotations, balancing, TPMS sensor diagnostics, and installation of all the accessories that they offer. Discount Tire Centers now sells and installs car audio and remote start/security systems and offers many top brands including Pioneer, Kenwood, Farenheit, Viper, Python, Avitel, and more. Discount Tire Centers is also a “preferred installer”: of Tire Rack products. He and his employees pride themselves on fast, competent and fairly priced services and parts.
Inglima not only has his business in the area, he knows the area, loves it and is very vested in the community. He grew up in Fredon and went to Kittatinny Regional High School where he played football and ran track.
