New Principal named for Sparta special needs school

The Willowglen Academy family welcomes F. Scott Allshouse, the new principal at Willowglen Academy s Jean M. Manfra school in Sparta. Scott has been a resident of Sussex County for the past 22 years. He brings 33 years of experience in both the private and public school sectors. Although he started as a teacher he has also held the position of learning disabilities teaching consultant, director of special education and middle school principal. Scott officially started his position at the school Feb. 1 and told staff he is thrilled to be at Jean M. Manfra school. The small school of just 35 students from ages 5-21, helps students with developmental disabilities, and emotional, social and behavioral challenges.
