— Sparta’s Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge #26 will host its 7th annual Oktoberfest at Mohawk House on Saturday, Sept.30 at 2 pm. This year’s fundraiser will benefit local charities to be determined by the FOP.
The festive event celebrates the fall season and the community’s support of the FOP organization.
“I am excited and proud to be hosting the original Okotberfest in Sparta at Mohawk House. The event has become a Sparta tradition of joining forces with Sparta police and bringing community together,” said Steve Scro, owner of Mohawk House.
Seasonal Oktoberfest beers, authentic German food and music by Party King Entertainment is included in the $45 per person ticket price. Tickets can be purchased in advance at Mohawk House or the Sparta Township Police Station and will also be available at the door the day of the event.
"We look forward to this year's Oktoberfest and everyone that continually comes out to support this great event. A special thank you to Steve and Rachel Scro for their continued support of our Fraternal Order of Police, as well as the other businesses and Associate Members that are there for us year after year,” said Sparta Chief of Police Neil Spidaletto.
Oktoberfest 2017 is rain or shine at Mohawk House on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 2 to 6 pm.
