Perfect Pointe complete eighth season with honors

Company dancers from Perfect Pointe Performing Arts Studio's P.A.C. team recently concluded their eighth competition season.

Students had the opportunity to experience competitions and conventions locally, as well as in Philadelphia and New York City, the dance capital of the world. In both cities, they participated in workshops by renowned teachers working on Broadway, in music videos, film, ballet companies and more.

P.A.C. Kids made many achievements this year from the four regional competitions they attended. Some of the honors included the Entertainment Award at Onstage NYC for musical theatre, Critics Choice Award from New York City Dance Alliance for tap, Studio Technique Award at The Power of Dance Competition, and high score awards, costume awards, choreography awards, and cash prizes throughout the season.

At The Power of Dance Competition, company members danced for more than just a score. Perfect Pointe competed to help raise money and spread knowledge about the Dylan Flinchum�"Rock On" Foundation. Dylan is suffering from a degenerative disease known as metachromatic leukodystrophy, often referred to as MLD.

Company members for 2012-2013 include: Maura Elvin, Marcella Hill, Leah Moore, Isabella Sportelli, Alexa Hitchuk, Hannah Delisa, Lilyann Loewen, Diamela Elnasser, Julia McEllen, Sarah Borino, Anna Tartaglia, Jenna Blandina, Kada Cernek, Alison Struble, Katie Hannan, Emma Klein, Brooke Hoer, Jordyn Fitzell, Mirae Ryu, Lauren Mitchell, Deanna Romano, Eliza Osborne, Rachel Good, Olivia Sasdi, Madelyn LeFrois, Kathryn LeFrois, Briana Scordato, and Anthony Sica.

Perfect Pointe will be holding company auditions on Friday, May 31 for their ninth dance season. These auditions are open to all students. The studio is also hosting a free dance class for new students on Saturday, June 8 ages three to six from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
