Pope John grads advance in ROTC training

Pope John XXIII High School 2014 graduates Frank Cutrone and AJ Arajuo completed advanced leadership training as part of their college Army ROTC requirements. Cutrone a senior with the Fordham University ROTC battalion in New York, and Arajuo a senior with the Villanova ROTC in Philadelphia, both completed rigorous training sessions at Fort Knox, Kentucky and Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The Army “advanced camp” program is an intensive 4 weeks of training at Fort Knox which includes classroom, field, and physical leadership components. The two cadets then traveled to Fort Bragg to complete another 3 weeks of advanced strategic training at the North Carolina base. Cutrone is a native of Byram and is majoring in international political economy with a dual minor in foreign language at Fordham. Arajuo is a native of Vernon and is majoring in political science and foreign language at Villanova. Both cadets will graduate in May of 2018 as 2nd Lieutenants in the U.S. Army.
