Safety Village will be June 24-27

The Junior Woman’s Club of Sparta will present Safety Village 2024, a comprehensive and fun safety education program for children entering kindergarten this fall.

Now in its 33rd year, the program will be held June 24-27 at the United Methodist Church, 71 Sparta Ave., from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

The fee is $75 for the four-day program, which covers bear, bike, pedestrian, traffic, stranger-danger, school bus, fire, police, ambulance, water and health safety.

First Student bus company will give the children their first bus ride around the block. NJ Swim will explain rules for swimming pool safety. United Martial Arts will give self-defense tips.

More than 12 different presenters will include Sparta police, New Jersey Search and Rescue and Sparta Ambulance Squad.

There will be snacks will be served and crafts.
