SCAHC announces 2017 Sussex County Senior Citizens’ Art Exhibition winners

— The Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council announced the winners of its Annual Senior Citizens’ Art Exhibit on Saturday, August 19th at an open reception and award ceremony. The awards were presented by Sussex County Freeholder, Sylvia Petillo.
Prior to the reception, watercolor artist, Jane Brennan, selected the first-place winner in each of the 14 categories. This annual exhibit showcases some of the wonderful talent of senior citizens in Sussex County. Featured in the exhibit are 65 works by 27 artists. The exhibit can be seen at the SCAHC gallery Tuesday through Friday from 10 AM to 5 PM and noon to 4 PM on Saturdays until September 2nd.
Each of the first-place category winners qualifies to participate in the New Jersey Senior Citizens Art Show along with category winners from other counties throughout New Jersey. The New Jersey Senior Citizens Art Show will be held at the Meadow Lake Senior Community in East Windsor September 21 through October 20.
